Job description

A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to join its team.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate mortgage loan applications for compliance with policies and regulations

Analyze borrower financials, credit reports, and property appraisals to determine eligibility

Collaborate with processors and loan officers to resolve questions and expedite processes

Required Qualifications

Active DE and VA underwriting certification highly preferred

Must have underwritten frontline new purchase loans within the last 6 months

Minimum 5 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience

Strong understanding of FHA, VA, Conventional, Non-QM, and Jumbo products

Experience with Encompass strongly preferred
