Quickly moving into other industries, we are a fast-paced and agile company looking for a best-in-class Operations Manager willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for building and growing a team.

MKD Electric is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the charge with expanding the National market share and profitability.

With the full support and resources of the company at your disposal, and a track record of success on a national level, this individual will be responsible for providing overall leadership, management, and guidance to the them.

Ensure that the project and operational controls and resources are in place to effectively grow the team and meet short- and long-term company objectives and vision, while maintaining a differential value proposition within the industry.

What you will do...

  • Holds the team accountable for following safety policies and promoting MKD's safety culture
  • Mentor, coach and develop direct reports and support them in developing their teams
  • Set goals for the team and implement strategies for achieving set goals
  • Develop executable strategies and plans to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives
  • Implement ways to improve and maintain customer relationship that ensures a high customer retention rate with repeat business
  • Continuously identify and implement value creation opportunities
  • Develop revenue, gross profit, and overhead budgets for the upcoming year
  • Profit & Loss Responsibility
  • Organize, lead, and participate in month end financial meetings
  • Maintain a continual pulse of the industry to understand the competitive environment, anticipating market trends and demands and developing business proposals for product / portfolio strategic initiatives
  • Ensure that MKD maintains a differentiable value proposition within the industry
  • Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the management, relationship, and direction of the Division
  • Review, report, and negotiate contract language as needed
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the project life cycle to be able to quickly identify and mitigate risks
  • Execute standards, processes, and practices in a manner that is consistent with project planning and execution activities
  • Perform activities including hiring, enforcing discipline, and termination in consultation with the Human Resources Department

What you will need to succeed...

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook applications
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to develop and motivate a team; strong leadership skills; interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to build, foster, and nurture relationships with customers and internal members of cross-functional teams
  • Significant project management and estimating experience in the electrical construction industry
  • Strong knowledge and experience with federal, state, and local regulatory and permitting requirements
  • Demonstrable record of achieving defined business goals; results oriented
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Technical electrical construction background within the industrial, and data center markets
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred experience...

  • Military Veteran with training experience is a plus
  • Professional certifications such as PMP
  • Minimum 3 years' experience leading an electrical construction division
  • Bachelor s degree in business, construction management, engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Significant project management experience in the construction industry
  • Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software preferred
  • Knowledge with accounting, estimating and project management software
