Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / ABA Therapist – In-Home | Durham, NC

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM

$21.50–$26.00 / hr (based on experience & certification)

Support Skill Development Where It Matters Most

At Autism Center of Excellence (AutismCOE) , Registered Behavior Technicians provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in the home setting to build communication, social, and independence skills for children with autism.

We are seeking an RBT to provide in-home ABA services for a client in the Durham, NC area.

Position Highlights

  • Setting : In-home ABA therapy
  • Schedule : Monday–Friday, 9 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM
  • Status : Full-time (30+ hours / week)
  • Reports To : Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Compensation : $21.50–$26.00 / hr (based on experience & certification)

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in the client’s home
  • Follow treatment and behavior plans developed by a supervising BCBA
  • Collect and record accurate session data using digital tools
  • Communicate progress and observations with caregivers and supervisors
  • Maintain a structured, supportive learning environment
  • Qualifications

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of in-home ABA experience (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Reliable transportation for home-based visits
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Professional, punctual, and dependable work habits

  • Hourly Pay : $21.50–$26.00 / hr (experience & certification dependent)

    Requirements

    Previous experience as a Behavior Technician, ABA Therapist, RBT, or in a similar role supporting children with autism or developmental needs RBT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain and maintain certification) Strong skills in data collection, documentation, and communication Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Dedication to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care
