Skills for Rhode Island’s Future is recruiting candidates for Electric Boat , a Quonset based manufacturer who designs and builds the nuclear submarines used by our US Navy.

JOB TITLE : Pipefitter

LOCATION : North Kingstown, RI

HOURS : Full Time

Electric Boat is seeking experienced pipefitters for their Quonset facility.

Key responsibilities :

• Fabricate and install the piping systems that carry the ship’s liquids and gases
• Working with various systems including hydraulic, lube oil, high and low-pressure air and steam and seawater
• Enhancing systems to prepare for Company, Navy, and Government inspections

Successful candidates will have :

• High school diploma / GED
• Basic math and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, diagrams and perform basic layout functions
