Job Description : Assistant Superintendent

Position Summary : The Assistant Superintendent will assist the onsite Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent with onsite management of subcontractors and compliance with safety regulations. They will ensure quality standards are met and will be an additional contact onsite for contractors, inspectors, clients, architects, and engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The Assistant Superintendent will uphold all of the duties of the Superintendent and will work to develop all skills and responsibilities of the Superintendent.

• Assist with creation of project schedule (three-week look ahead).
• Monitor daily activities and record all activities in the daily report.
• Perform all quality control inspections per Vantage Quality Assurance / Quality Control program.
• Attend client meetings to better gauge their needs.
• Build positive relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Conduct health and safety inspections.
• Maintain a safe and clean jobsite.
• Follow all safety procedures on the job site in accordance with the Vantage Safety Program, including but not limited to 100% PPE requirement, building / client specific safety programs and OSHA compliance. Will also report violations immediately to the superintendent.
• Ability to manage project sites independently, on a short-term basis, if needed.
• Create and manage punch-list and work to complete lists for interim and final project milestones..
