Support Services Coordinator
Salary Range : $58,682 - $117,656
Reports To : Chief Operations Officer
Supervises : Maintenance Personnel
Evaluation : Job performance will be evaluated in accordance with established board policies and administrative procedures and guidelines.
Days / Hours : 240 days / 8 hours
FLSA Status : Exempt
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree preferred and / or
- High School Diploma; technical certifications as appropriate; at least 5 years experience in a related field.
- Valid drivers license suitable for fleet insurance coverage.
Performance Responsibilities :
Establishes and maintains sound business, school safety, and financial procedures in accordance with Federal and State laws, and school system policies.Monitors, interprets, and reports financial status and operations to the Chief School Finance Officer (CSFO) and others as needed.In cooperation with the CSFO, files Federal and State reports as needed.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and efficient operation of school facilities.Plans, budgets, organizes, and assists Chief Operations Officer with new construction, capital improvements, and maintenance for the school system.Read and apply data on all equipment, blue prints, and associated subject matter in the maintenance field.Works with the Superintendent and Chief Operations Officer on all capital outlay projects and building projects within the system.Develops, administers and maintains a program for purchasing supplies, janitorial purchases for the Board of Education, materials and equipment.Maintains the system-wide general fixed asset inventory.Supervises system-wide maintenance program and coordinates work of maintenance personnel.Assign personnel to ensure after hours emergency calls are answered as needed.Supervises the development and implementation of procedures for employment, daily work performance, and evaluation of all maintenance personnel.Provides professional development opportunities for custodial and maintenance personnel.Coordinates system-wide asbestos screening.Coordinates building insurance, including working with insurance representatives.Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and ethics working cooperatively with the Board, the Superintendent, administrators, city officials, certificated and non-certificated personnel, parents, and students.Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.Attends all meetings as required by the Superintendent and / or Chief Operations Officer.Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and / or Chief Operations Officer.Background Check Required : (Ala. Code 16-22A-5) Upon offer of employment, employees will be required to submit legible fingerprints for a background review by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Working Conditions :
Position will require daily travel to multiple schools within the Cullman City School District.Position is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands to finger, to handle, or feel objects, equipment, or controls.Position is required to talk and hear.Position is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, and kneel.Position will require the ability to lift, push, pull, carry and / or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Cullman City Schools does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs and activities.
