Welder / Fabricator II

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Welder / Fabricator II will perform welding in the fabrication and repair of custom components. This position also performs related duties as assigned in regards to the fabrication process.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

• Cuts and / or joins metal parts in order to fabricate or repair equipment using tools such as plasma cutter, mig welder, tig welder, arc welder, oxyacetylene torch, chop saw, grinder, drill press, clamps, and hand and power tools.
• Designs and fabricates parts and equipment to meet unusual or special needs of the product, using manufacturers' specifications, measuring devices, calculator, drawings and service requests.
• Moves material or supplies to directed locations in order to expedite repair work or modifications, using forklifts and / or cranes.
• Installs manufacturers' components and equipment in order to test durability and safety.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and / or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w / side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

DeZURIK offers a competitive hourly rate in the $29.00 - $32.22 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.

This is an hourly bargaining unit position represented for purposes of collective bargaining by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
