Director of Operations & Strategic Initiatives

Position Summary

The Director of Operations & Strategic Initiatives provides organizational leadership and coordination across OIPA's internal operations, governance functions, and strategic programs. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position ensures that all OIPA projects, partnerships, and committees operate efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with the Strategic Action Plan.

This role plays a key part in connecting the work of OIPA's leadership, the Board of Commissioners, and the Community Advisory Committee (CAC). The Director will manage operational systems, facilitate interdepartmental collaboration, oversee project tracking, and support implementation of board-approved initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Organizational Management

• Oversee daily internal operations, administrative workflows, and team coordination.
• Support the Executive Director in developing and managing OIPA's operational plans, policies, and reporting systems.
• Coordinate preparation of materials for Board of Commissioners meetings, including committee reports, project updates, and financial summaries.
• Manage vendor and consultant coordination to ensure timely deliverables and compliance with OIPA standards.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of staff.
