Job description

Position Summary :

The Operations Intern will support daily operations activities, including assembly, testing, and facility tasks that contribute to overall production and quality objectives. This position provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and offers exposure to process improvement, testing, and quality assurance practices. The intern will work under direct supervision while gaining valuable operational knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Assist in performing tests and reprocessing parts to meet product tolerances and specifications.
  • Support sorting, reprocessing, and testing of medical instruments and devices.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve assembly, work instructions, and testing procedures.
  • Participate in picking, packing, and preparation of reprocessed medical instruments and devices.
  • Follow established operating procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while meeting productivity expectations.
  • Uphold the company's quality and safety policies at all times.
  • Perform various technical and non-technical support tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Qualifications and Skills :

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification related to Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with standard manufacturing or operations concepts and procedures preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Physical ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team-oriented environment
  • Work Environment :

  • This job operates in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to blood borne pathogens.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odors, fumes, dust or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
