Position Summary
American Golf Corporation is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Stamford, CT team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience with general accounting operations, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and audits. The role involves regular interaction with internal teams, external partners, and requires a strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting operations, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with periodic audits and tax filings
- Liaise with Accounts Payable, Billing, and other internal departments
- Generate ad-hoc financial and operational reports as needed
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records
- Contribute to the optimization of accounting systems and processes, including automation initiatives.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field13 years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of general ledger functions and financial reportingExperience with ERP systemsProficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsWillingness to collaborate and support team goals.Working Conditions
