Our client is looking for a Director of Development.

Are you passionate about local journalism and ready to make a real impact in the community? We’re looking for a director of development to help grow philanthropic support.

In this role, you’ll lead all things fundraising — from building relationships with donors to creating new giving opportunities and writing grant proposals. You’ll work closely with our publisher, editor and leadership team to connect supporters with the powerful, community-focused journalism we produce every day.

What you’ll do :

• Build and lead a smart, mission-driven fundraising strategy
• Cultivate relationships with donors, foundations and partners
• Manage all donor outreach — from annual campaigns to major gifts
• Help translate newsroom priorities into compelling funding proposals
• Keep things running smoothly behind the scenes (budgets, donor systems, reports)
• Represent ADN at local and national events and fundraising forums
