:We are seeking an IT Senior Developer (ServiceNow) to join our team. The IT Senior Developer (ServiceNow) will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to address complex business issues. This role requires a deep understanding of software development methodologies and software such as ServiceNow, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred experience includes Service Portal development, ServiceNow Mobile development, developing in UI Builder & ServiceNow Workspaces, and Now Assist & AI Agent development experience.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications such as ServiceNow - from collecting requirements and writing implementation plans to coding and executing those plans.
Strong technical foundation and knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and architecture.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company's software solutions remain competitive.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Special projects and duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Experience with web development frameworks and technologies (e.g., Angular, React, ASP.NET).
Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
Strong technical foundation and knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and architecture.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory
Knowledge of Cloud Architecture and Tools
Must be able to act with a sense of urgency and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Skills:
Service Portal development experience: custom widget creation, AngularJS and Bootstrap proficiency, advanced client-side and server-side scripting, portal theming and branding
Knowledge of Service Catalog and Record Producer design
ServiceNow Mobile development experience: building and customizing Mobile Studio experiences, creating and configuring mobile cards, lists, and forms, strong proficiency with Mobile App Builder, client-side scripting, offline data configuration, mobile UI policies
Experience developing in UI Builder and ServiceNow Workspaces: creating and configuring custom UI Builder components, strong client-side scripting skills, building workspace experience for different personas, designing reusable components and page templates, applying UX best practices, managing workspace security and ACLs
Experience with Now Assist and AI Agent development: designing and configuring generative-AI experiences, building and tuning AI Agents, leveraging Flow Designer and Integration Hub for automated actions, implementing responsible AI best practices, configuring virtual agent topics and conversational flows
Required Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of experience as a System Administrator/Developer
5-7 years of experience in IT Service Delivery
3+ years of coding/scripting or software development experience
3+ years of experience using scripting/coding languages (i.e. JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Angular JS)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
