Job descriptionProvide superior service to existing customers and make calls to potential new customers Understand and create feed ration formulas Assist in creating feed budgets and nutrition plans for customers Assist with livestock sourcing Understand inventory management Learn forward contracting of feed ingredients Learn the ingredients souring and purchasing process Assist with the receiving, loading and delivery of bulk and bag feed Attend training, professional development and continuing education opportunities Attend all feed team meetings Sharpen your professional development / soft skills Live the Crystal Valley brand by demonstrating a commitment to doing what’s right, a solid work ethic, a strong sense of ownership, a passion for excellence, and treats others with respect Be personally responsible for the safety of self and others Perform other tasks as assigned Spend time in other divisions and locations to further understand the cooperative system Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn other key operational computer programs Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities Ability to remain goal-driven in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills including multi-tasking, planning, and prioritizing Ability to work both as a team member and independently, while being self-motivated and self-directed Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, employees, supervisors, and suppliers Valid driver’s license Meet the driver qualification standards set by the self-insured group in which the cooperative is a member Pre-employment drug testing required Comply with Crystal Valley’s Drug and Alcohol Policy Ability to obtain seasonal CDL Currently pursuing a degree in Animal Science or other Agriculture related degree program Agricultural or Ag retail background preferred Desire to serve livestock producers, agribusinesses and others involved in the agriculture industry Willingness to work long hours to serve our customers Basic equipment operation skills Must get it, want it, and have the capacity to perform (GWC) Commitment to doing what's right Solid work ethic Strong sense of ownership Passion for excellence Treat others with respect

We are seeking highly motivated Feed Interns at our Vernon Center, MN location for the summer months of May to August. Our internship experience will offer valuable insight into the livestock feeding industry through mentorship and real-world experiences.
Pay : $16-18 / hour, overtime after 40 hours
Five Key Roles :
Learn from Crystal Valley’s Experienced Staff
- Work alongside management, operations, and sales to learn all aspects of the livestock feeding industry
- Learn the complete feed manufacturing process from receiving of ingredients to the delivery of feed
- Understand and ensure compliance with bio-security procedures and controls
Provide First Class Customer Service
Engage in Real Life Work Experiences
Attend Internship Networking / Development Opportunities
