Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team. This role produces accurate, competitive estimates and well-structured proposals for the electrical installation of BMS and PLC systems. Success in this role requires strong interpretive skills across controls documents, architectural layouts, mechanical plans, and submittals to build a complete, logical, and cost-sound picture of the work.

Key Responsibilities

• Review controls scope of work documents, Input / Output summaries, and controls shop drawings and submittals alongside MEP plans to define complete electrical installation requirements.
• Prepare detailed takeoffs, labor assessments, and material lists for BMS and PLC electrical work.
• Develop competitive pricing and concise proposal packages with solid assumptions and clarifications.
• Participate in bid opportunities across Vanguard’s three regional offices, working closely with Preconstruction and Field leadership.
• Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to confirm scope alignment and reduce uncertainty.
