The Regional Manager is responsible for the operations of multiple districts within a specified region. This role is responsible for ensuring each district operates efficiently, meets revenue targets, hires and develops employees and delivers five-star customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Regional Management :

  • Oversee the operations in your districts, working with the district managers to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to district managers in resolving operational challenges and achieving performance goals.

Financial Management :

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability across your districts.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics such as revenue, occupancy rates and expenses and ensure annual budgets are achieved.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Employee Management :

  • Recruit, train and develop employees to ensure high levels of competence and customer service.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to employees.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll.
  • Monitor payroll expenses and budget allocations.
  • Customer Service :

  • Ensure all properties are supported in delivering five-star customer service.
  • Ensure customer inquiries and escalations are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
  • Property Maintenance and Security :

  • Ensure properties are well maintained and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Implement appropriate protocols to ensure the safety and security of employees and customer belongings.
  • Vendor Management :

  • Establish relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to obtain favorable terms and pricing.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address issues as they arise.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration / management preferred.
  • Proven experience in self-storage industry preferred.
  • 10 years in a supervisory position preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in hiring, training, and developing teams.
  • Ability to visit multiple properties within region.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and property management software
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain harmonious relationships with customers and co-workers, in person, in writing and over the phone.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
