Unit : Emergency Department (ER)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 16 / 2025 – End : 2 / 15 / 2026)

Shift : 12 Hour Nights (18 : 45 – 07 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1530-$1640

Patient Ratios : Typically 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 (ED behavioral holds)

Unit Size : 101 beds

Documentation System : Cerner

Scheduling : Every other weekend required; flexibility to meet department needs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state

Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting

Experience in a Level II trauma center and high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ visits / year) preferred

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be obtained before start date)

ENPC certification within 90 days of hire

Strong teamwork skills and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback

Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department

Professionalism, respectful behavior, and commitment to positive patient experience

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population

Perform advanced clinical procedures and operate equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors

Collaborate with healthcare professionals including techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary teams

Float to all sections of the Emergency Department as needed

Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner

Update patient boards and communicate effectively with patients and families

Uphold department standards for safety, clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction

Wear required navy scrubs and adhere to unit guidelines and attendance policies
