Job descriptionProvide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment. Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns. Maintain thorough and accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client policies. Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Remain alert and prepared to respond quickly to alarms, emergencies, and / or requests for assistance while carrying a firearm in accordance with company and legal guidelines. Participate in ongoing training and development related to security-related procedures, emergency response, and customer service in a healthcare setting. Possess an armed guard card or license. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
