Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or suspicious behavior. Monitor the premises for security-related concerns and report any irregularities according to established protocols. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies. Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations. Assist visitors, employees, and / or contractors with access and general inquiries while upholding site-specific protocols. Participate in ongoing training to remain current on security-related procedures and emergency response protocols as required by Allied Universal. An armed guard card or license is required. You must be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You must provide one of the following : a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate. Baton certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
