Our client is a prestigious international law firm that puts integrity, client service and employee satisfaction above all else.
Our client seeks an experienced IP Docketing Specialist. This role can be based in San Francisco, Palo Alto, San Diego, or Seattle.
This is a 100% remote position with an in office presence only required when there is a business need.
Summary :
The IP Docketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating the intake process for new clients and matters, database maintenance and clean-up, IP docketing support.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate complete intake process for incoming laterals and clients, new IP client portfolios, or new matters for existing clients
- Audit IP data and updates for intake projects
- Coordinate process for transferring IP prosecution matters from one client to another new / existing client, including
- Coordinate and process same for counseling matters
- Coordinate process of transferring matters out of the firm, including conducting physical and / or electronic IP records review
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant IP experience, law firm experience highly preferred
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other various applications
- Experience with e-discovery / electronic records review software
- Experience researching IP status and history in PTO databases, including USPTO systems (PAIR, PatentCenter, TSDR), WIPO Patentscope and Madrid Monitor, the EPO Patent Register, and EUIPO eSearch, as well as public databases in other jurisdictions
- Possess working knowledge of USPTO procedures, 37 C.F.R., the Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (MPEP) rules, and the Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (TMEP)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure / tight time constraints
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary : Up to 115K, some flexibility depending on experience.
