About The Position

Job Title : Technician - Histology

Hours per Shift : 8

Experience : 2-3 years in histology for biopsy specimens and dermatology

License : NYS Clinical Laboratory Tech License

Certifications : Certified Histology Technician or Clinical Lab Technician from NYS DOE

Must-Have : Associates in Science and completion of an accredited Histology program, or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Description :

Monday to Friday, 1 PM to 9 PM, 24-week assignment in the Gross Room.

Extensive experience in grossing small biopsies and simple routine specimens under supervision.

Experience in embedding and microtomy of all surgical specimens is required.

Candidates must have an Associate's degree in Science and completion of an approved Histology accredited program, or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

A Client Clinical Laboratory Tech License or certification as a Histology Technician or Clinical Lab Technician from the Client Department of Education is required.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in histology, specifically for biopsy specimens and dermatology.
