Justice System Clerk Senior

In this role, you'll manage the entire lifespan of case files, from opening, researching, and updating to closing, ensuring accuracy and timely management for our attorneys and clients. This isn't just about paperwork; it's about being a problem-solver who provides crucial support to both internal and external customers and serves as a key liaison with the Court.
This is a dynamic position where you also assist with training new employees and contribute to a highly collaborative team environment. If you are an organized multitasker with great communication skills, we want to hear from you.
Upon successful completion of initial training, this position has the option to choose among several hybrid or flexible schedule options, including the potential to work up to 5 days from home each pay period.
With over 400 employees, the Office of the Public Defender is the largest of the five indigent defense offices in Maricopa County. We are also one of the largest public defender offices in the country. We require :
Three years of full-time progressively responsible legal, court, or justice system administrative-related experienceHigh school diploma or GEDPost-secondary education may substitute for up to two years of the experience requirementWe also value :
Experience with electronic records or case management systems in a legal, medical, or insurance environmentExperience working within an indigent defense officeJob contributions :
Initiate, update, and edit case management records using case management systems and identify potential conflictsAudit caseloads, research case weight, and resolve data transaction errors and work quality control reportsInterpret and enter data from sentencing reports and other complex minute entriesAssist customers with requests for electronic or physical records and troubleshoot any process problemsSort or classify information according to established guidelines, update case files, court calendars, and case management systemsCreate hard files, organize materials, affix labels, pull, transport, and destroy case files as neededProvide new hire training, cross-training, and refresher training for employeesCover Supervisors in the absence of the Justice System Clerk Lead and Justice System Clerk SupervisorsWorking conditions :
