The District Manager oversees the overall operations and sales performance of multiple retail locations within Southern California (primarily San Diego and Orange County).
The District Manager will provide leadership and strategic direction to each retail store team to create an environment that ensures guest satisfaction, maximum productivity, profitability and sales results.
The District Manager will have a clear understanding of company deliverables, processes, and must demonstrate the ability to execute those duties store by store.
The District Manager is accountable for all determined KPI’s including but not limited to : hiring, training and developing Store Managers, sales performance, operational excellence, and compliance within their assigned Market.
Key Areas of Responsibility including, but not limited to :
- Market P&L, inventory management, and sales targets.
- Implementation of company programs and products by motivating and supporting the store management team within the district to develop and implement action plans that meet operational and organizational objectives.
- Managing labor costs within the market.
- Financial tools & resources to identify and proactively address opportunities in-store performance; communicate analytics & reports with store teams to elevate store results
- Compliance of company policies & procedures in all stores, including but not limited to timekeeping, cash handling, human resources, and safety.
- Utilizes management information tools and analyzes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in district performance.
- Solicits guest feedback to understand guest needs and the needs of the local community
- Ensures adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for nonexempt team members.
- identifies, communicates, and delegates key responsibilities and practices to the store management team to ensure a smooth flow of operations within the district
- market expert, familiar with the overall business, residential, and economic climate
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent experience in a closely related field required
- 5+ years’ experience in retail Store Management
- 4+ years’ District Management experience, including responsibility of the P&L (external applicants), or relevant internal experience
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Efficient in MS Office platforms
- Team-building skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
