Veterinary Assistant - Inpatient IMC / ICU / ER (Swing Shift)

Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for an Inpatient Veterinary Assistant to work in the Intermediate Care (IMC), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency Room (ER) section of our Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital. The individual in this position will work directly with board-certified emergency and critical care veterinarians and rotating intern doctors to help facilitate quality care and patient flow through the IMC, ICU, and ER. This is a monthly rotating swing shift position. Mon Thurs 4 : 00 pm 2 : 00 am; Fri Sun 1 : 00 pm 2 : 00 am.

Minimum Qualifications
Depending upon a combination of education and experience, the finalist selected for this position will be hired as a Veterinary Assistant Inpatient and assigned levels II or III.
Level II : Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment.
Level III : Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment. Degrees accepted in lieu of years of experience.
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Knowledge of processes, methods, and procedures associated with veterinary medicine.

Salary Range : $34,460 - $53,070
