Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Culturally diverse population with focus on adult and geriatric patients Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Internal medicine and geriatrics; routine and emergency treatment Office Equipment Available : Standard outpatient equipment Specialty Backup Available : Referral network Support Staff Available : Multidisciplinary care teams Reason for Coverage : Ongoing staffing need Rate : $200,000.00 to $230,000.00 Comprehensive Benefits available Pension Scheme available REQUIRED PROCEDURES Geriatric and internal medicine evaluations and treatment Preventive and chronic care for older adults Licenses : Active Massachusetts medical license Certifications : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine Experience : Residency completion in good standing Other Qualifications : - Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills - Bilingual English / Spanish required - Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism - Ability to travel between sites as needed Deliver comprehensive outpatient care to adult and elderly patients Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Refer patients to specialists as appropriate Participate in quality improvement and utilization review efforts Teach and mentor medical trainees Represent the health center within the community and external bodies Serve on relevant committees as needed Engage in continued medical education and development Promote system-wide healthcare improvement initiatives
