The University of Texas Health San Antonio, School of Dentistry, is seeking a full-time Assistant, Associate or Professor to join the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene.

Candidates will be expected to participate in pre-doctoral instruction including didactic, clinical activities and curricular planning.

Candidates will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care of patients, interacting closely with pre-doctoral faculty in other departments and dental hygiene faculty.

This position will include service on school and university committees. Opportunities are available for participation in research and in intramural faculty practice.

Applicants must have a DDS license or equivalent degree, with advanced Periodontics training. Applicants are expected to be Board-certified or Board-eligible through the American Board of Periodontology and qualify for licensure in the state of Texas.

Preferred qualifications include teaching experience in a pre-doctoral dental education program and clinical practice experience.

Time Off- A generous leave program offers multiple paid leave options :

Front-loaded Paid Time Off : to hours ( to days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year.

PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.

Extended Illness Bank : hours ( day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken.

Paid Family Leave : Up to hours ( weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after months of consecutive employment.
