Job descriptionThis is a 100% travel job. Oversee and direct the work of construction workers, machine operators, or other personnel. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. Enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct safety meetings and inspections. Allocate materials, equipment, and labor effectively. Order supplies and ensure they are used efficiently. Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets project specifications and industry standards. Liaise between workers, subcontractors, and project managers. Provide clear instructions and resolve any issues or conflicts. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress. Prepare reports as required. Train and mentor new employees or apprentices. Ensure all team members are knowledgeable about their tasks and responsibilities. Proven experience as a foreman or in a similar supervisory role in construction, manufacturing, or related fields. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in using construction or manufacturing tools and equipment. Must be able to work overtime and weekends, if required. Must be 18 years of age. Must have acceptable ID, pass a background check, and drug screen. High school diploma or GED. Possession of a TWIC card is a plus but not a requirement. Understand verbal and written instructions, basic math skills. Ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 50 lbs. on occasion. May reach above shoulder height and below the waist frequently. May stoop, kneel, or bend on occasion. Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects frequently. Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
