Ceded Re Reporting and Analytics Intern

We are seeking a Summer 2026 Ceded Reinsurance Reporting and Analytics Intern for the Ceded Reinsurance Reporting Group within the Ceded Reinsurance team, located in New York City, NY or Garden City, NY. The Internship Program is a 10-week development initiative designed to provide professional growth with potential long-term opportunity for successful individuals interested in the insurance / reinsurance industry.

What can I expect as an Intern? On-the-job Learning Gain valuable niche reporting / accounting foundational experience. Ceded Re Reporting team is responsible for Management, Regulatory and Statutory Reporting and collaborates with other departments to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of data processing. Sompo International Interns are immersed in the day-to-day activities of their team, assisting the Ceded Re team with reporting, analysis, data processing, systems and projects within the flow of the Ceded Re reporting / accounting process.

Responsibilities

• Assist on process enhancements including automation, testing and documentation.
• Assist in answering collateral related inquiries from external market.
• Assist in the department initiatives of building stronger controls surrounding the collateral collection and Schedule F processes.
• Assist with preparation of Management and Regulatory Reporting (e.g. Board Report, BE 45 etc)
• Assist with quarterly financial analysis.
• Perform both Balance Sheet and P&L account reconciliation.
• Assist the team with special projects.

Activities, Learning and Development Throughout the program, Interns will have the opportunity to hear from executive leaders, participate in structured, engaging leadership learnings, participate in networking events and activities with peers, members of our Executive team and outside brokerage firms, and be part of a project to present to their manager and mentor.

Salary Range : $20- $22 / hr. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
