Overview
Dewberry is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant Project Management Deputy (PMD) to support our Maryland group in the Lanham, MD office. Typical assignments are diverse and require strong communication and collaboration skills. The PMD will support the Business Unit Manager and project managers / engineers with project account set-up, financial reporting support, progress reports, invoices, site notifications, and general administration. The PMD acts as the primary contact with Corporate Accounting and will be held to Dewberry's accounting standards, which are established, communicated, and trained by Corporate Accounting. The PMD is employed by and assigned to the home Business Unit.

Responsibilities
Financial Coordination Responsibilities :
- Project contract setup and contract verification
- Processing subconsultant agreements and invoices
- Collections and tracking outstanding invoices
- Upload project invoices into the Client vendor portal before month end
- Routinely prepare and distribute financial reports (standardized, monthly, quarterly, and as needed)
- Assist with day-to-day financial management of assigned projects
Administrative Responsibilities :
Meeting coordination (schedule food and beverage services, set up virtual meetings, send reminders) and processing meeting notesHandle sensitive information with discretionFile and archive both electronic and hard copy project-related documentsTrack department leads using internal lead tracking software for proposals and change ordersCoordinate mailing letters and site / hearing noticesPerform other administrative duties as requiredRequired Skills & Experience
3-5 years of relevant experience requiredBachelor's level Business education preferred; high school diploma or equivalent requiredProven history of maintaining financial and technical dataKnowledge of business contracts and invoice processingProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; knowledge of financial database systems and the use / application of business tools and workflowsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task with excellent organizational skillsSelf-starter with demonstrated ability to translate direction, feedback, and strategy into actionable resultsStrong collaboration skills with employees at all levels and from various parts of an organizationAbility to interpret data and identify issues based on trendsSalary range : $53,900 to $69,300
