LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a client in Bellevue, WA to hire a Payroll Specialist. You will collaborate closely with the HR department and finance team to ensure timely payroll processing, accurate deductions, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Process end-to-end payroll for all employees accurately and on schedule. Calculate wages, bonuses, overtime, and other compensation accurately, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
- Verify time and attendance records, resolve discrepancies, and handle payroll adjustments as necessary.
- Process new hires, terminations, promotions, and other employment status changes in the payroll system.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee benefits, deductions, and garnishments.
- Review and reconcile payroll data, including tax withholdings, insurance premiums, retirement contributions, and other payroll-related accounts.
- Prepare and distribute pay stubs, direct deposit statements, and other payroll related documents to employees.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax-related matters.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data in the payroll system.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reports, including tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end processes.
Qualifications :
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and employment laws.
- Experience with payroll software, such as UKG or Paylocity, is a plus.
- Strong understanding of benefits administration, deductions, and garnishments.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
