About the Opportunity :
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Principal XR Radiology Technologist to join a dynamic team at a Level I trauma center.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of patient care by performing complex X-ray procedures and leading a team of technologists.
Responsibilities :
Perform a wide range of diagnostic X-ray examinations using advanced imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, portable X-ray, etc.
on adult and pediatric patients.
Lead and mentor a team of XR technologists, providing support and guidance for professional development.
Ensure the safe and effective operation of imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
Maintain a sterile environment and follow strict infection control procedures.
Position patients for optimal imaging and ensure their comfort and safety.
Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Participate in quality control procedures to maintain the accuracy and efficiency of imaging studies.
Oversee departmental operations, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
May participate in research activities as needed.
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current and active ARRT (R) certification.
Current and active CRT Fluoroscopy licensure (or ability to obtain within probationary period).
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working as a radiology technologist in an acute care and / or university hospital setting.
Preferred : Recent experience in an acute care setting.
Preferred : Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Proficient in medical terminology and electronic medical record systems.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and cover weekends and holidays.
