This role is perfect for someone who feels comfortable working independently but also loves to connect with clients and the team via Video Calls, enjoys researching solutions, and asking thoughtful questions, while also keeping an eye on client needs before they arise. The scope of work varies by client, ranging from full-cycle bookkeeping to month-end closing tasks, so you can expect a wide variety of responsibilities.What Youll DoOwn the monthly close : perform reconciliations of bank, credit card, loan accounts and monthly accruals with precision.Year-End Processing : Processing W2s, 1099s and financial reporting for audits & tax documents.Analyze and correct : identify discrepancies, errors, and duplicates; resolve issues independently.Produce accurate financials : prepare balance sheets, P&Ls, and other reports that align with GAAP.Manage compliance : prepare and file 1099s, payroll tax filings, and sales tax returns across clients.Run payroll and AP / AR : process payroll, record transactions, and manage receivables / payables efficiently.Improve systems : recommend and implement process improvements and cloud-based accounting solutions, create and update SOP's as neededCommunicate directly with clients : explain financials clearly and provide proactive guidance.What You Bring3+ years of CAS or public accounting experience (required)Expert-level bookkeeping knowledge with a track record of getting things right the first timeStrong GAAP understanding and advanced reconciliation skillsProficiency in QuickBooks Online and other cloud accounting toolsCuriosity to dig into problems, resourcefulness to find answers, and confidence to make decisionsAbility to work independently and juggle multiple clients without dropping the ballCPA or progress toward CPA is preferred but not requiredWhy Join UsWork in a modern, remote-first firm that rewards initiative, not just outputDirect impact : clients will feel your value immediatelyExposure to a wide range of industries and challenging projectsGrowth opportunities for those who demonstrate ambition and ownership
