Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, assisting with month-end closing, and a variety of administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will bring experience, precision, contribute to process improvements, along with a desire to grow and learn with a scaling company.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Accurately enter and code vendor bills in a timely manner
• Reconcile vendor statements monthly and investigate discrepancies
• Assist in updating and improving AP procedures as the company scales

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Collaborate with operations team members to generate customer invoices
• Ensure data consistency between the company’s operating platform and accounting system
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer balances

Month-End Closing

• Support month-end processes including :
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Generating internal financial reports

Additional Duties

• Enter and verify employee timesheets for payroll processing
• Maintain records related to assets, business licenses, and compliance filings
• Provide support on ad hoc accounting and administrative projects as needed

Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience

Preferred Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) or similar accounting software
• Familiarity with payroll processes and platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
