The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for driving sustainable and strategic growth. As a member of Mikron’s sales team, the KAM represents Mikron and serves as the face of the business to their assigned accounts while also acting as the voice of the customer within the Mikron organization. By embodying Mikron’s core values—Responsibility, Customer-focused, Results Driven, Quality Oriented, Highly Motivated, and Strict Confidentiality—the KAM will nurture customer relationships and achieve commercial growth targets to support overall Mikron growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Research target companies and identify key decision makers
- Establish communication at new accounts
- Spark interest in customers to learn more about Mikron
- Quickly develop relationships and trust of others
- Develop and deliver introductory presentation to a variety of customer audiences
- Understand and articulate customer’s needs
- Collaborate with applications Engineering, Subject Matter Experts and Operations on development of lowest cost compliant automation solutions
- Develop, draft and deliver automation proposals to customers
- Negotiate and influence customer teams
- Manage customers, customer expectations and strike balance between customer and Company
- Transform and nurture assigned accounts into a “personal franchise”
- Reporting – populate and maintain Salesforce data integrity and development of impromptu reports
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills
5+ years of experience in Engineering or Applications Engineering in the machine building or automation industryStrong communication skills - Technical writing and oral communicationComputer skills including Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and advanced Excel spreadsheet experienceExperience with the GAMP5 / Validation and Verification Model, ISO 13485Medical device, life sciences and pharmaceutical experience (technical or commercial3+ years of successful sales experienceAdditional Requirements
