Summary

As a Senior Programmer Analyst (UNIX / C / SQL) at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities.

Your role in our mission

Take a close look at some of the details that contribute to Gainwells industry-leading tools and technologies in this challenging position.

• Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately complex programs
• Analyze, design and write specs and reqs from which we develop and code programs
• Evaluate existing systems and programs; assist project the manager in assigning tasks and work closely with a team
• Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements and resolve issues that arise
• Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
• Participate as a member of a development team and lead a small sub-team of developers as needed
• Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of applications development and programming experience using C in a UNIX / Linux environment.
• Demonstrates competence with SQL, PL / SQL, Complex SQL exposure, and query tuning expertise.
• Oracle DB experience is a preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft tools, to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Previous Healthcare IT (Claims, Encounter, Prior Authorization) experience is highly preferred.

• During production some oncall may be required to troubleshoot issues.

The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
