The Field Engineer is responsible for all routine on-site project administration, scheduling, and engineering. Plans, coordinates, and manages on-site construction engineering activities and schedules and communicates with subcontractors. Prepares monthly pay estimates and updates the Project CPM schedule. Prepares, coordinates, and updates job budgets, change orders, and cost reports for Manager's review and approval.
Responsibilities :
Review subcontractor pay estimates prior to management's approval.Review the owner's pay estimate prior to management's approval.Supervise cost report management and lead regular review meetings.Supervise project CPM management and lead regular review meetings.Identify issues early and work to develop solutions.Prepare all required information for presentation at project reviews.Qualifications :
BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.Must have prior Heavy / Highway experience on projects over $20 Million.Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in heavy / highway construction.Familiar with grading, drainage, paving (asphalt and concrete), bridge construction, retaining walls, and all other highway construction scopes.JDEdwards experience is preferred.Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented.Able to pass a Drug Test.Legally Eligible to Work in the US.Physical Demands :

Regularly required to sit and / or stand during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.Employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Continuous mental attention required to complete tasks efficiently.Exposure to dust, dirt, grease, and noise.Work can be performed at heights up to 60 feet, requiring the employee to climb ladders, scaffolds, and stair towers, often with narrow steps and passageways.Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground and slopes in varying weather conditions.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, based on project needs and demands.Work Environment Characteristics :
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.Work environment periodically exposes employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel, and ready-mixed concrete.Company Benefits :
