Corporate Counsel

The Westly Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Corporate Counsel to join our dynamic team. Our firm, a leader in venture capital within clean technology and sustainability, is committed to investing in solutions that offer clear contributions to environmental and societal health. As Corporate Counsel, you will play a key role in structuring complex deals, navigating corporate governance, and ensuring compliance with the latest environmental regulations that impact our portfolio companies. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents and contracts related to venture capital financing and investments. Advise on legal aspects of the firm?s strategy and implementation in the areas of venture capital, corporate business transactions, and intellectual property. Compliance oversight, ensuring adherence to jurisdictional legal and regulatory requirements relevant to venture capital and environmental sustainability. Proactively manage the potential legal risks within the investments and advise on resolution of complex legal issues. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that their functions are effectively conducted within legal parameters. Monitor and analyze changes in the law and regulations that may affect the company?s business or investment practices. Strong expertise in venture capital, securities, corporate governance, and transactional law. Ability to draft and interpret complex legal documents. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of working effectively with multiple teams. Expertise in environmental law is preferable, due to the company?s focus on sustainability.
