Electrical Controls Engineer

About the Role : A growing engineering team is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated Electrical Controls Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering department as a Project Engineer. This is a hands-on role ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy solving complex challenges with precision and creativity.

What You’ll Do : AutoCAD Electrical Design

Create detailed electrical drawings and schematics
Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
Collaborate with engineering peers to meet project requirements

PLC & HMI Programming

Develop and debug PLC and HMI programs

Integrate the latest technologies and features

Stay current with advancements in automation

Client-Facing Engineering

Engage with customers to understand project needs

Provide expert recommendations and tailored solutions

Build strong relationships through clear communication

️ Panel Shop Collaboration

Work closely with panel builders during fabrication and testing

Ensure panels meet design and quality standards

On-Site Installation & Start-Up

Travel to job sites for system installation and commissioning

Troubleshoot issues and ensure systems operate as designed

Minimum Qualifications :

5+ years of Controls Engineering experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical

Experience with Rockwell or Siemens controls

Familiarity with HMI / SCADA software

Skilled in using standard electrical test equipment

Bonus Skills :

Experience with Ignition software

Knowledge of scripting languages (VBScript, C, C++, Python)

Exposure to additional PLC platforms or automation equipment

Job Type : Full-time
