Electrical Controls Engineer
About the Role : A growing engineering team is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated Electrical Controls Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering department as a Project Engineer. This is a hands-on role ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy solving complex challenges with precision and creativity.
What You’ll Do : AutoCAD Electrical Design
- Create detailed electrical drawings and schematics
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with engineering peers to meet project requirements
PLC & HMI Programming
Develop and debug PLC and HMI programsIntegrate the latest technologies and featuresStay current with advancements in automationClient-Facing Engineering
Engage with customers to understand project needsProvide expert recommendations and tailored solutionsBuild strong relationships through clear communication️ Panel Shop Collaboration
Work closely with panel builders during fabrication and testingEnsure panels meet design and quality standardsOn-Site Installation & Start-Up
Travel to job sites for system installation and commissioningTroubleshoot issues and ensure systems operate as designedMinimum Qualifications :
5+ years of Controls Engineering experienceBachelor’s degree in EngineeringProficiency in AutoCAD ElectricalExperience with Rockwell or Siemens controlsFamiliarity with HMI / SCADA softwareSkilled in using standard electrical test equipmentBonus Skills :
Experience with Ignition softwareKnowledge of scripting languages (VBScript, C, C++, Python)Exposure to additional PLC platforms or automation equipmentJob Type : Full-time
