Mott MacDonald is in the market for a Structural Engineer to join our growing transportation team inone of our Florida locations : Delray, Jacksonville, Panama City, Pensacola, and Tampa. This team member specializes in bridge design but may also work in a variety of structural fields including buildings and miscellaneous structures for transportation, water-wastewater, marine and energy.

Responsibilities of the position will include :

• Performs structural analysis and design of bridges and other structures using industry-standard analysis and design software programs
• Have working knowledge using MicroStation and LEAP bridge design software
• Plan creation, design, and checking for conventional bridge projects
• Assists in preparing and modifying reports, studies, preliminary designs, and detailed designs with all phases of bridge design
• Projects will involve a variety of superstructure, substructure, and foundation types
• Assists in the preparation of quantity take-offs / calculations, preconstruction unit cost development, and cost estimates / engineer's estimates for projects
• Have working knowledge in design of concrete, steel, concrete masonry, and timber as well as spread and pile foundations and retaining / sheet pile walls
• Have working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
