Job description

Overview

As a Performance Engineer within ENGIE North America's Renewable & Flex Power Generation Business Unit, you will provide and support data analytics across our U.S. based renewable energy assets. Your mission is to enhance the performance of operational sites—including wind, solar, and battery storage—through advanced analytics, data visualization, and KPI reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and maintaining tools to monitor fleet-wide performance and availability
  • Developing advanced analytics to proactively detect failure modes and deliver actionable insights to operations teams
  • Conducting in-depth investigations into equipment failures and performance issues
  • Supporting data needs for budgeting, spare parts management, and other operational activities
  • Enhancing dashboards and tools for key performance indicator (KPI) reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; OR in lieu of a bachelor\'s degree an Associate degree, technical certification, or military experience with five (5) years of equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analytics or operations within power generation plants within Renewable technologies either (Wind, Solar, and / or BESS)
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Grafana, Databricks) and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R), and MS Office applications
  • Familiarity with data architecture design and implementation and a working knowledge of electrical equipment and calculations
  • Effective analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and deliver actionable insights
  • High regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills; able to lead teams, work independently, and take initiative
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid in-office work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically to operational sites in Texas and California up to 15% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver\'s license / clean driving record; to drive to site locations
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consists of up to 15% of outdoor work; while performing the duties of this job on operational sites, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
  • Compensation

    Salary Range : $86,100 - $132,020 USD annually.

    This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

    ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

    In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
