Buyer

Overview

The MRO Buyer is responsible for coordinating and executing the procurement of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies, chemicals, and parts to support production and facility operations. This role involves sourcing, vendor management, cost analysis, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to maintain optimal inventory levels and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Sourcing

Process authorized purchase requisitions for MRO supplies, chemicals, and machine shop materials.

Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to maintain stock control.

Track and follow up on purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.

Coordinate with accounting, shipping / receiving, stockroom, and other departments to support purchasing activities.

Maintain detailed records of purchasing activities, expenses, and vendor performance.

Participate in cross-training and collaborate with other departments to enhance skills and support career development.

Qualifications & Skills

This position requires US export authorization.
