Journeyman Security Management Specialist
Dynamo Technologies LLC has an immediate need for a Journeyman Security Management Specialist to support HQ AFMC A2 in managing its Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) program throughout its full lifecycle, from design and accreditation to decommissioning. The role requires expertise in SCIF accreditation governance IAW ICD 705, NISPOM, and 32 CFR Part 117, as well as familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and CNSS 1253 controls. The Security Management Specialist will conduct compliance reviews, support SCIF design and integration, oversee physical security programs, and ensure the effective management of SCIF resources. This position is critical in maintaining the security posture of HQ AFMC A2, requiring strong communication skills, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to provide executive-level briefings on security matters. This is an on-site role at Bolling, Air Force Base, Washington D.C.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Support HQ AFMC A2's efforts in managing its Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) program.
- Provide authority over all HQ AFMC SCIFs from initial design / development, continuing accreditation, and final decommissioning.
- Coordinate decision-making among all stakeholders, serving as an AO to assist with HQ AFMC A2's roles and responsibilities, and reviewing customer processes for policy compliance.
- Personnel shall provide : Review customer processes for policy compliance Concept Validation Requests SCIF Fixed Facility Checklist Construction Security Plan TEMPEST Forms SCIF co-utilization requests Prepare, coordinate, and communicate responses in Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) communications Assist with SCIF security designs - Provide security system integration, design, management, and life cycle support Identify security vulnerabilities Implementation of preventive measures Oversee and implement the quality management system Physical Security - Inspect, analyze, and evaluate new and existing security systems Assess the adequacy of the security and management control systems Monitor the way sensitive material is handled and used Recommend appropriate corrective action and adjustments where security requirements are not being observed Document findings and recommendations Establish, develop and design security solutions and product improvements Maintain databases of SCIF resources - Receipt, storage, inventory, and disposition of SCIFs Conduct briefings to the executive level
Required Skills / Abilities :
Experience with the SCIF accreditation process governance IAW 32 CFR Part 117; National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM); and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, ICD 705-1, and ICD 705-2Experience with CNSS Instruction 1253, Security Categorization and Control Selection for National Security SystemsFamiliarity with NIST SP 800-53 security and privacy controls and CNSS Instruction 1253 requirements.Strong understanding of security system integration, physical security, and quality management practices.Ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.U.S. citizenship requiredNice to Have Skills :
Previous experience supporting HQ AFMC A2 or other Intelligence Community security programs.Hands-on experience with SCIF design, construction oversight, and decommissioning activities.Familiarity with JWICS communications for coordination and reporting.DoDM 8140 / 8570 certification or other security-related credentials highly desirable.Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or Six years of relevant work experience Equivalent combination of education and security management experience considered.
Travel Requirement : Some travel expected. Including AFMC site visits, assessments, and program reviews.
Clearance Requirement : Active TS / SCI required.
