Essential Job Functions
1. Participate in daily and long-range lesson and classroom activity planning.
2. Conduct learning exercises with small groups of students.
3. Assist teachers with classroom activities.
4. Assist in maintaining neat, safe work areas.
5. Maintain records for evaluation of student's behavior and performance.
6. Provide escort and assistance to students as necessary.
7. Adhere to Board of Education Policy and assigned schedules.
8. Maintain confidentiality.
9. Interpret / translate for students and teachers and support family communication with the school.
10. Assist Limited English Proficient students with learning English and subject area concepts.
Supervision exercised : An incumbent does not supervise.
Physical / Mental Requirements and Working Conditions :
Other than those physical / mental requirements included within the essential functions : Must be able to communicate on the radio and telephone.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
