Job descriptionTraveler must have a nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certified through the American Heart Association. Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Join the Cardiothoracic Surgery and Transplant team to provide high-quality care to patients on an acuity adaptable unit. Ensure care is delivered with a mixture of technological expertise and a positive commitment to meeting patient and family needs. Be an integral part of a team that provides care for patients requiring specialized care for cardiac and thoracic surgeries and procedures, heart and / or lung transplants, and various medical devices. Daily patient care includes managing patients post-heart and lung surgeries. Nurses typically care for 1-2 patients but may be assigned 3 general care patients if acuity is low. Staff are supported with resources available during planned and emergent procedures. The unit is dynamic with frequent changes in patient assignments and admissions. The nursing team will collaborate with interdisciplinary support services to ensure comprehensive patient care. ACLS BLS PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam

- Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
