We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Office Manager / Accounting Clerk to join our team in Rutland, Vermont. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to manage key office functions while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will excel in administrative support and financial operations.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily office operations to ensure smooth workflow and organization.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely billing and payment tracking.
• Utilize accounting software systems to accurately record and maintain financial data.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional service related to billing or account issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams to maintain operational efficiency and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Maintain organized records for audits and internal reviews.
• Provide support in scheduling, correspondence, and other administrative tasks.
• Monitor and order office supplies to maintain a well-stocked and functional workspace.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office Suite.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and resolve inquiries professionally.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems, such as Great Plains.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
