Location : Springfield, Illinois 62769 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs)

Unit : Cardiac / Pulmonary Telemetry

Job Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – 17-week contract

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : March 24, 2026

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratios : 1 : 6-7, with 2 clinical techs per shift

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license

At least 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience (telemetry RN jobs preferred)

Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS

Demonstrated clinical skills in cardiac and pulmonary patient care

Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation abilities

Ability to work night shifts and alternate weekends

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac and pulmonary patients in the Telemetry unit

Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and vital signs

Collaborate with physicians, clinical techs, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols

Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record (EHR)

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions

Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for patients and staff
