HDR is looking for a Senior Construction Consultant to join our national Trenchless Services team. The role reports to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead and supports the execution of design and field services for trenchless projects, including engineering, design, and construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide construction oversight for trenchless installations.
- Conduct constructability reviews of trenchless engineering efforts.
- Perform daily reviews of deliverables for trenchless construction activities.
- Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts.
- Conduct route assessments for trenchless aspects of pipeline siting and routing.
- Coordinate and oversee trenchless construction activities, staffing, and CM scopes.
- Support business development for trenchless services via client interface.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling, and quality control.
- Develop and issue a Project Management Plan or Construction Management Plan.
- Develop procedures for construction contract administration and implement them with the project team (document, change, time, cost, quality, and safety management).
- Perform additional construction management activities, including procurement development, schedules, subcontract scopes, VE / constructability reviews, estimating, and progress reporting.
- Administer and manage construction activities; monitor progress against design requirements.
- Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Coordinate local bidding efforts for field quotes.
- Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
- Coordinate document management and review construction submittals, shop drawings, and pay applications.
- Prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders; review construction schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate project quality assurance, inspection services, and safety compliance with subcontractors.
- Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports.
- Manage project setup and temporary facilities.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE)Certified Construction Manager (CCM)Experience with estimating, scheduling, project management software, and web-based document collaboration toolsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.At least 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts, document / time / cost / quality management, change management, site safety, bidding, purchasing, scheduling, and cost control.Experience with Microsoft Office.Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam).Strong people skills and the ability to interact with Owners, Engineers, Contractors, and other stakeholders.Commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.What We Believe

The compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education, and location : $135,000–$165,000.
