Aviation Sheet Metal Technician / Junior CNC Machinist Position type: Contract
Location: St Louis MO (North County) Clearance: Security clearance preferred; must be eligible Innova Solutions is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined technician with a strong foundation in manual machining and fabrication. Aviation Sheet Metal Technician / Junior CNC Machinist your
key responsibilities (Initial Phase – Assembly Line Mechanic) will be
: - Perform mechanical assembly tasks with precision and consistency
- Follow detailed work instructions and safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Advanced Role – Aviation Sheet Metal Technician / CNC Machinist: - Operate manual machining tools and equipment
- Use height gauges and precision measuring instruments
- Cut and shape materials to exact specifications
- Assist with layout and fabrication planning
- Support CNC machining operations and learn programming fundamentals
- Interpret CAD drawings and technical schematics
Qualifications: - 3–5 years of experience in manual machining or sheet metal work
- 1–2 years of fabrication or CNC machining experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude; auto mechanic background a plus
- Willingness to learn CNC programming and expand technical skillset
- CAD familiarity (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Eligible for U.S. security clearance (active clearance preferred)
- Prior military experience highly valued

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range*: $58 - $80K per year
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
