Job Summary
The Early Learning Center caregiver maintains the classroom environment and ensures the
physical safety, educational and social development, and well-being of the children. This
position reports to the On-Site Directors and operates under close supervision with some latitude
for the use of independent judgement and initiative.
Essential Duties
- Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the church.
- Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Support and adhere to the Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures of St. Joseph
Catholic Early Learning Center - Bryan, Texas.
Plan for instruction with logically sequenced objectives based on adopted curriculum and submit
plans according to the Early Learning Center policies.
Decorate and organize the classroom and designated bulletin board in a visually appealing
manner.
- Clean and sanitize the classroom and its contents daily.
- Provide appropriate material and resources for the students to engage in learning.
- Use effective instructional methods and models according to professional standard practice.
- Ensure the physical safety, educational and social development, and well-being of the children.
- Maintain current and accurate records according to school policies.
- Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.
- Communicate with parents regarding academic, behavioral, and developmental concerns.
- Maintain a work schedule that maximizes availability to students, parents, and staff.
- Attend monthly staff meetings as required by the early learning center administration.

This can be either a full-time position Monday through Friday with a schedule of 7am to 3pm or a part-time position with work hours in the afternoon.
