About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of RN experience in medical / surgical nursing and solid PCU foundation

License : Wisconsin State License or Compact License required

Certifications : BLS required by start date

Must-Have :

• Charge experience preferred
• Ability to care for all acuity types
• Proficiency in barcode scanning (must maintain 95% accuracy)

Description :

Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all RN units.

Flexible scheduling options include either 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts.

Call may be required as needed.

Float requirements exist within the hospital.

Candidates will be responsible for caring for a variety of patients, including occasional ICU / PCU patients on this blended unit.

Experience with a range of patient diagnoses, including cardiac, respiratory, orthopedic, and general surgery is necessary.

Knowledge of managing special procedures and care protocols is essential.

Strong skills in managing intravenous access and deliveries, including blood product administration, vent management, and feeding tube care are required.

Additional competencies include interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, and wound care.

Interdisciplinary support will include therapy services and social services as needed.

All RNs will be required to adhere to established protocols and provide excellent patient care.
