Sentara Health is hiring an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at Virginia Beach General Hospital!

Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 Offered for qualified candidates!

Status : Full Time (40 hours)

Location : Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, Virginia Beach VA

Work hours : Rotating shifts M-F & Every Other Weekend

6 : 30am-3 : 00pm

7 : 00am-3 : 30pm

8 : 00am-4 : 30pm

1 : 00pm- 9 : 30pm

2 : 00pm-10 : 30pm

3 : 00pm-11 : 30pm

Required qualifications :

Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED

Preferred qualifications :

1 year Pharmacy Technician experience in the hospital or 3 years retail pharmacy experience preferred

Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred

Job responsibilities :

Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.

Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.
